SOPHIE BLUE
About SOPHIE BLUE
Best for: families with children, with active, watersports-led groups a close second.
Sophie Blue is a 41-metre CBI Navi built for families who want the kids in the water as much as the adults. Where most yachts of her size treat children as an afterthought, she is kitted out for them: child-sized waterskis, a waterslide off the deck, inflatables, and wetsuits, impact vests and helmets in several sizes. Five cabins take 10 guests, with a crew of 9 to run the week.
Beyond the kids' kit she suits groups who treat the water as the point. A brand-new Williams Dieseljet tender gets you ashore at close to 38 knots, and the toy locker runs deep: an e-foil, a hydroflyer, two Seabobs, a wakeboard and paddleboards. Captain Feite-Jurre de Vries is a marine engineer and PADI diver, and first officer Henry Turner a qualified powerboat and jet-ski instructor, so a day built around the toys is in safe hands.
