Amazing yachting holidays in Balearics

Whether you’re after a week of partying with friends on a crewed yacht, or a family bareboat sailing holiday with the promise of picnics in secret coves and snorkelling in turquoise waters, there is something for everybody in the popular Balearic Islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

Located in the heart of the Mediterranean, the islands’ light, warm winds and sunshine throughout the summer months make for perfect conditions for cruising the coastline, island hopping, and open water sailing. Crystal clear waters are ideal for diving and snorkelling, while great seafood, local wines and plenty of nightlife add to the allure of each island.

Make time to venture inland too, where you may be surprised to discover beautiful scenery, quaint hilltop villages, and a rich artistic and cultural heritage.

See & do

Check the following attractions before going to the Amalfi Coast .

Early season Central Dalmatia is generally quiet at the start of the season, with sailors preferring to head further south to Dubrovnik for slightly warmer weather in early May. But the sailing season really hots up in June, when the Croatian coast is in full bloom and at its most vibrant and brilliant.

Peak season July and August are the wild west for a sailing vacation in Split and the surrounding islands. But it's not all hustle and bustle, there is enough time and space to find a quiet anchorage and relax. While the quays like Hvar town will be full to bursting with boats, you can always find a mooring buoy, or anchor in a secluded cove and jump in the dinghy.

Late season September is one of our favourite times to explore the Dalmatian coast - it's after the heat and business of the Mediterannean summer rush, but air temperatures are still balmy (around 26°C) and the waters are at their warmest. Plus, you can bag a great deal on sailing boat charter later in the season.
