Croatia Motor Yacht Charter
Croatia is the up-and-coming spot for a bareboat, skippered or crewed yacht charter, blending gorgeous Venetian towns with sumptuous deserted islands.
An indented coastline of craggy coves, white sand beaches, and orange-roofed old towns reaching out to the Adriatic sea on teardrop-shaped tombolos make Croatia one of Europe's best-loved motor yacht charter destinations.
Walled cities like Dubrovnik and Split lull sailors into chic marinas allowing for moorings with impressive views of iconic old towns and lush archipelagos, while wild anchorages at the Kornati Islands and the ink-drop Pekleni Islands provide sumptuous backdrops to elegant dinners of delicious Croatian cuisine served on deck.
Croatia, whether you sail from a sultry island paradise like Hvar or Braç or an ornamented coastal city, such as Pula or Zadar, is a fabulous destination for a European motor yacht holiday.
Charter Motor Yachts in Croatia
Luxury Motor Yacht Charter Croatia
Select a beautifully appointed Sunseeker, Fairline, or Azimut motor yacht for your sailing holiday to Croatia and sail comfortably into some of the world's most attractive ports, whether that's the ancient city of Dubrovnik, the glitzy marina on Hvar or the gorgeous islands of the Kornati Archipelago. Indulge in a luxury motor yacht for large en suite cabins finished to the highest of standards, with large decks perfect for convivial dining with views of lush forest-shrouded islands and idyllic sandy bays.
A bareboat Motor Yacht charter allows sailors the utmost freedom when sailing in Croatia, and, due to their faster speeds over conventional sailing boats, can enable you to see more of the country, sailing from the islands of Dalmatia to the historic coastal cities of Istria. And as motor yachts are large speedboats, with shallow drafts, this opens up options for mooring in shallower waters, closer to the islands, and in shallow passages that can often be unreachable by conventional yachts.
If you'd prefer to luxuriate on the deck while sailing the pristine fringes of Croatia's islands, then we can arrange for a local skipper to accompany you, allowing you the utmost freedom to relax while sailing in Croatia.
Sibenik/Kornatis
Start your motor yacht charter in Šibenik to sail a slightly quieter side of Croatia. Begin in the old town, following the cobbles into bustling tavernas and past impressive renaissance cathedrals before taking in the views of distant islands and buckets of deep blue azures from the vast St Michael’s Fortress.
Cruise away from the marina to explore the nearby Kornati Islands: a beguiling collection of islands fringed by soft white sands and steep cliffsides hiding heavenly bays, accessible only from the water.
Travel the length of the archipelago's 140+ croatian islands to experience a scenic route towards the fascinating city of Zadar. Once there, stroll through the absorbing cocktail of architecture that forms the infinitely explorable old town, to find a contemporary mood running through the town's ebullient cafe culture and the series of contemporary art installations built into the waterfront.
Split, Hvar, Trogir
Start from Split to see the grandiose Diocletian's Palace (a palace turned old town, now filled with shops, cafes and restaurants) before island-hopping along the handsome marinas of Braç, Hvar, Vis and Korčula.
For an extended journey, steer your motor yacht charter to the sensational Mljet National Park for days of tranquil exploration on a forested island beset with unspoiled beaches, caves and an evocative sprinkle of ancient ruins.
The island is a surprisingly good spot for divers, with an abundance of coral making up the largest reef in the Mediterranean, while the charming village of Pomena hosts several restaurant-side mooring options for those looking to refuel between swim stops.
Dubrovnik
Walk Dubrovnik's antique cobbles, taking in the attractive city gates, the stylish Stradum, Onofrio’s fountain and the ornate 17th-century Venetian style St Blaise’s Church.
A 2km walk along the impressive city walls brings views of the Bokar and Miceta towers to eye level and presents walkers with immersive glimpses of St John's fortress and Dubrovnik's iconic terracotta-red rooftops exquisitely posed beside the blue hues of the Adriatic.
But from here, Dubrovnik's southern location makes for an interesting choice for sailors: sail north to the Dalmatian Islands or follow the winds south to explore the lush landscapes of Montenegro. The latter, Montenegro is ideal for sailing, with a short untamed coastline, sailable in a week.
A highlight is the breathtaking Kotor Bay, perfect for novice sailors, as the towering mountains protect the bay from the Bora winds, resulting in a calm lake-like experience on the water.
Pula
Charter a motor yacht on the fringes of the Istrian Peninsula in stunning Pula to explore some of northern Croatia's most enduring and surprising sights, from the vast 200-year-old Roman amphitheatre (one of the largest in the world), taking up much of the view, along with a jewellery-box collection of church spires and orange roofs, to the idyllic collection of islands that make up the Brioni National Park, just a short scenic sail away.
Additionally, historic towns such as idyllic Rovinj and Krk, lively party towns like Pag and lush islands like Losinj and Cres are all nearby.
The sailing season in Croatia runs from April to mid-October, with the high season, as well as the hottest weather bringing in the crowds between July and August.
The sailing weather is mostly favourable, with reliable winds hovering between forces 3 and 6, with the Mistral winds generally blowing landwards towards the mainland.
