About SALTY

Best for: multi-generational groups, with foodie couples a close second.

SALTY is a 23.85m Alalunga motor yacht running fully crewed from Athens, and her standout is the galley behind her. Chef Dimitris trained at Le Monde in Athens and refined his craft in high-end Greek restaurants before coming aboard, and he knows over 100 species of fish, so seafood menus and delicate hors d'oeuvres built on local ingredients are very much his territory.

Four ensuite cabins sleep up to ten: a master with walk-in closet, a VIP, and two twin cabins each with a pullman bed, which makes her a natural fit for families and groups travelling together. A four-strong crew led by RYA Yachtmaster captain Athanasios, in his third year aboard, keeps the days calm and the service seamless. The toy locker is generous, with a Zodiac tender, Seadoo jet ski, Seabob, two SUPs, a kayak, wakeboard, water ski and snorkelling kit for the swimmers and the thrill-seekers alike.

A smart refit with genuinely large cabins and a handy day head on the main deck. The bow seating is lovely, the tender is good and the jet ski is new, and the crew, three years aboard together, are a real pleasure.

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which will generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
