MIDORI is a 2026 Sunreef 70 Eco catamaran based in Split, and her single most distinctive feature is that she is brand new, bringing the latest in sustainable catamaran design to the Adriatic. Four crew come with the boat: Captain Miguel Álvarez brings over 27 years of sailing experience and more than 10,000 nautical miles across the Mediterranean, Atlantic, and Pacific, so Croatian waters hold no surprises. Deckhand and RYA Yachtmaster Fran Radek knows the Dalmatian coast intimately and handles itinerary planning, anchoring, and local logistics. Chef Marielle Löffler, trained at Coolinary School and Ashburton Chef Academy, brings professional Mediterranean and Caribbean galley experience aboard. This last week aboard the Midori surprised and enchanted me. Every little detail was taken care of. From incredible meals to the luxurious surroundings, I was truly transformed by my stay onboard. The incredible staff was attentive to every need and at some point I even wondered if they were reading my mind! There is definitely no other way to discover Croatia than aboard the Midori. A wonderful journey shared with wonderful people aboard the beautifully crafted ship “Midori”. The crew gave their very best — welcoming, helpful, and attentive throughout. This morning, I woke up gently rocking with the waves while the crew had already set course back towards Split, marking the end of our journey.
