Caneren
About Caneren
Best for: families with young children, with couples seeking a relaxed Turkish coast escape a close second.
Caneren is a 27-metre Mengi-Yay Tuzla motor yacht based in Göcek, built in 1996 and running with a four-person crew. What sets her apart is the combination of a husband-and-wife team at the heart of operations: Captain Cafer Kaya brings over three decades of experience along the Turkish coast and Greek Islands, while chef Gönül Kaya arrives from high-end hotel kitchens with a focus on seasonal Turkish cuisine, fresh-baked breakfasts and homemade ice cream that young guests in particular tend to remember long after the trip.
She accommodates up to eight guests across four cabins: a master with king-size bed, two VIP doubles (one with a dressing room), and a twin with a Pullman berth, each with its own bathroom and air conditioning. The saloon seats all eight for dining and has a bar, TV and lounge area for cooler evenings or quieter afternoons at anchor. Crew quarters are fully separate. For families or a small group of friends wanting a well-run, home-cooked experience on the Göcek and broader Aegean circuit, Caneren delivers it in a personal, unfussy way.
