Meet at la Balise marina where you will be introduced to your catamaran and skipper who will provide a safety briefing and answer all questions. Head to Benitier, taking around an hour this will give you great opportunity to familiarise yourself with the boat. Stop and snorkel at the famous shell-shaped Crystal Rock. Later, take a walk along the beach where you can have a BBQ and watch the the local local SEGA dances (additional charge, if desired). Return to the yacht for your first nights sleep onboard.

After breakfast on deck and some dolphin spotting, dine onboard with a view of Le Morne - the mountain and the peninsula of the same name. This is where the famous underwater waterfall is located. The height of the basalt mountain reaches 556m and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, embark on a safari! The transfer bus leaves exactly at 14:00. Lions, tigers, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, deer and many other wild animals will be waiting for you spot. (extra charge and optional) After this once in a lifetime experience, enjoy an al fresco dining experience onboard in a spot that is world famous among surfers and was featured in the surfing documentary The Forgotten Island of Santosha. This is another great spot for dolphin watching!

Enter the mouth of the Citron River and discover the ruins known as Balaclava . This is a former arsenal built in 1740. Next to it were an iron foundry and a gunpowder mill. Ahead will be the uninhabited island of Coin de Mir , located in the north of Mauritius. The snorkelling and diving here is incredible so be sure to make the most of this stop! Next head to Flat Island, where you can walk along the picturesque coastline. For dinner head to Grand Baie Bay where you will anchor for the evening.

Arrive at Grand Bay where you can explore the village of Grand Baie and its restaurants and cafes , souvenir shops and a local bazaar . In the afternoon, visit the sugar cane plantation Chateau Labourdonnese. Here you can look into a Victorian mansion, look at a fruit tree nursery and try local rum. During the evening dine onboard and enjoy a meal the chef has prepared and cooked for you. If you are up for a party, consider visiting the nightclub, N'JOY . Ask the captain to reserve a table in advance.

This morning search for whales! Your captain will do everything possible to ensure that everyone sees these amazing animals. The migratory routes of whales pass through the island, so there is no such thing as seasonality in Mauritius: you can swim with them all year round. Humpback whales, pilot whales and killer whales can be seen . After lunch, visit the white sandy beach of Mont Choisy, where you can swim with turtles or sunbathe on the beach. In the evening after dinner you may recognise the unfamiliar outlines of the constellations of the Southern Hemisphere. (They are upside down - You may noticed that the sun goes here from right to left).

After breakfast, head back to the West Coast and look for dolphins, whales and fish from the bow. Return to Black River Bay- this is a safe haven, protected from the winds by a majestic mountain range that will provide a stunning view at sunset. Either dine onboard in the evening or visit the Italian restaurant Il Padrinon on the pier.

Wake up and take in the view of the Tamarin Mountains. Go in search of dolphins before your charter ends and then return to home marina La Balise by 10am. Say goodbye to your crew and reflect on the fantastic week you have had onboard!
