What To Expect

Indonesia

A vast archipelago with over 17,000 islands, Indonesia is the perfect place for a yacht charter. From the biodiverse marine life to the hidden secret beaches there are endless opportunities for exploring. The best way to explore Indonesia is by sea, away from the populated crowds and able to see the countries highlights from Pink Beach in Flores to the Komodo dragons on Komodo Island.

Sailing conditions in Indonesia are generally reliable with consistent winds and calm seas making it the perfect place to embark on your yacht charter.

The best time to sail is April to October around Komodo. The West Coast of the island of Flores, September to April around Raja Ampat

Belize

With the world's second largest coral reef, year round trade winds and line-of-sight sailing Belize is a perfect sailing destination. Countless white sandy beaches and some incredible marine life it is a destination to consider if you're looking to explore the underwater world.

Head inland to spot Mayan ruins and stop to immerse yourself in the culture. You can find a wonderful mix of diversity here; the food, people and music makes Belize a fantastic unsung hero.

The best time to sail Belize is June to November but in order to ensure the quietest experience, consider visiting during late May to early June.

Montenegro

One of the highlights of sailing Montenegro is the simplicity of your itinerary planning. With only 300km of coast you can see the Montenegrin Coast in only 7 days.

The main attraction of the country is the spectacular Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska), often described as Europe's southernmost fjord, which is in fact a submerged river canyon of the former Bokelj River, which used to run from the high mountain plateaus of Mount Orjen.

Sveti Stefan is another of Montengro's gems. It used to be a tidal island, but is now permanently connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus and is often used as a day anchorage by yachts en route to or from Budva. Sveti Stefan can also be used as an over night anchorage in settled weather.

The best time to sail Montenegro is between June to August.

Maldives

An island hopping paradise! White sandy beaches, untouched lagoons and coral reefs full of marine life, the Maldives is a must visit destination when considering your yacht charter. Sea turtles, whale sharks and starfish are a few things you could spot!

One must do during your charter, is to visit the lagoon on Meerufenfushi, known as one of the jewels of the Indian Ocean.

Begin your charter in the beautiful capital, Mahé and explore hidden gems only accessible by boat.

November to April is the dry season and the most popular time to visit the Maldives.

French Polynesia (Tahiti)

A sailor's dream destination! French Polynesia's many jagged peaks rise to over 2,000 feet which help in assisting your inter-island navigation with line of sight reference and blue water passages between islands to the East or Northwest measure about 20 miles.

Consider visiting Raiatea, Bora Bora and Tahiti during low season, in November to April, when demand for experience, wildlife and exploration opportunities are lower.

During this time, deeper and warmer waters bring more chance of spotting hump back whales during your French Polynesia charter!

Norway

Breathtaking fjords, wonderful wildlife and a myriad of islands are just a few reasons to visit Norway on your yacht charter. Norway’s total coastline is the second longest in the world reaching to more than 100,000 kilometres with nearly 250,000 islands making it an incredible sailing destination with countless opportunities for exploration.

Consider beginning your charter in Helgeland, a gateway to the Arctic where you can potentially witness the iconic view of the northern lights and encounter magnificent whales in their natural habitat during the winter months where there are only a few hours of daylight. Lagoon 51 Nordvaer is perfectly set up for excursions in this ruggedly spectacular wilderness.

To experience Norway during the longer days we recommend visiting between late April to July.
