About VOYAGER

Best for: couples or small groups of friends, with sustainability-minded guests a close second.

VOYAGER is a 2019 Ocean Alexander motor yacht based in Seattle, and her defining feature is a fully plant-based galley: every meal aboard is vegetarian, reflecting a genuine commitment to sustainability rather than a marketing footnote. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interior with light, and a beach club at water level makes getting in and out of the sea effortless.

She accommodates up to 6 guests across 3 well-appointed cabins, suited to a couple, a trio of friends, or a small family who share her ethos. A crew of three, including Captain John, keeps things running smoothly. On the water, a Williams Sport Jet 435 tender, a Sea Doo jet ski (where permitted), two kayaks, two paddleboards, inflatable floats, and a floating dock give guests plenty to do between anchorages in the Pacific Northwest.

  • We don't take the natural beauty of Puget Sound, British Columbia, and SE Alaska for granted, and we're doing everything we can to preserve it. This includes eliminating nearly all single use plastics on board the Voyager, having onboard composting and recycling, motoring at fuel-efficient speeds, offering only sustainable and local (when possible) plant-based foods on board (VEGETARIAN CUISINE), and supporting multiple organizations to promote environmental stewardship. We have planted nearly 20,000 trees through The Nature Conservancy Plant a Billion trees project, we purchase carbon offsets though CoolEffect for each trip, and are a major donor to Wild Orca, a local non-profit focused on research and advocacy for the endangered Southern Resident killer whales. The Voyager team has also installed an extensive lithium ion battery system so we can turn the generators off for more than 12 hours a day, providing you and the sea life around us with a very peaceful experience. Finally, we auction off trips and hold events on board the Voyager each year for numerous non-profit groups from the Woodland Park Zoo to Washington Autism Alliance and Earth Creative, to name a few, and we've raised nearly $400,000 over the past 2.5 years for local charities.

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
