Guest reviews

We just spent the most amazing week with Captain Ethan and Chef Danni in the Bahamas. Captain Ethan is professional and very kind. Chef Danni was the BEST Chef we had so far. Her breakfast with eggs wrapped in bacon and the fruit.... her appetizers - meatballs, butternut squash, eggplant and her lunches..... hamburgers, ribs, greek salad, and of course the famous chicken salad. And the Captain and Chef went snorkeling with us. Love that. Great Memories.

It was the perfect experience - and tough to leave the idyllic Aboco Islands. Our captain Ethan was the perfect leader for our adventure. He was skilled, so capable, and determined we would have nothing but the best of experiences! We had fun filled days, exceptional excursions, and so much fun laughing and exploring the Bahamas! His joy was contagious! We loved it all - feeding turtles and rays squid from between our toes, the board meeting at Hippy Beach, and feeding fish our salad veggies at Mermaid Reef. We always knew we were safe - whether we were diving, snorkeling, sailing, or simply settled for the night. Ethan was an amazing problem solver, teacher, and guide…. We would follow him anywhere. His first mate/ Chef, Dani, was delightful and a perfect match to the 2person team. Beautiful, kind and so absolutely skilled in making our meals. There was always copious quantities, always fresh- and oh so wonderfully delicious! When "we" caught two HUGE mutton snappers, Dani prepared a feast/for dinners and amazing appetizers! And she brought fun and joy to the group. We loved our boat- the layout, amenities. and impeccable cleanliness - the "crew" - the itinerary - and our fellow shipmates. We did NOT want to leave!

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
