About PENELOPE

Best for: groups of up to twelve wanting a high-service motor yacht experience in southern Italy, with multi-generational families a close second.

PENELOPE is a 48-metre motor yacht built by International Shipyard Ancona in 2005, based in Naples and crewed by nine professionals. The standout is the full-beam owner's cabin on the main deck, which comes with two ensuite bathrooms (one with a shower, one with a bath) and a separate office zone. Below, five further cabins accommodate twelve guests across two double cabins, two twin cabins, and a VIP cabin forward, each with its own ensuite.

A nine-strong crew that includes a captain with an extensive competitive sailing background, a first officer holding RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certification, and a chief engineer with deep operational experience means the boat runs with real professional depth. On the water, two Seadoos, two Wave Runners, waterskiing, wakeboarding, SUPs, inflatables, and an ocean pool keep a full group occupied. Two tenders handle transfers and day trips along the Campanian coast with ease.

The charter was fantastic!! The yacht, captain and crew were truly excellent!!
A special mention to the chef, he was so good that we cancelled all the restaurants bookings and we ate on board: he was a real highlight of the trip.
We loved every minute of the charter, thank you all so much!

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
