KISMET is a 2022 St. Francis catamaran built for serious offshore sailing and genuine Bahamian exploration. With 50,000 nautical miles under his belt and a Newport Bermuda Solo Race to his name, Captain Dan Alonso brings a level of seamanship that sets this charter apart. He is also a scuba diver and natural teacher, happy to share the helm with curious guests.

Three queen cabins sleep up to six in real comfort, and Chef Joan rounds out the crew with Caribbean and Mediterranean experience in the galley alongside a talent for photography that means guests leave with lasting images as well as memories. On the water, an eight-person dinghy, two paddleboards, snorkel gear, fishing gear, and a trampoline lounge area keep everyone busy between anchorages.

KISMET is a 2022 50’ St. Francis catamaran built in South Africa for confident blue-water cruising, combining safety, space, and easygoing comfort for laid-back Bahamas island-hopping. Panoramic salon windows and seating for 8 keep the interior bright and social, while the shaded cockpit creates a second dining and lounge area with adjustable sun protection for relaxed afternoons on deck.

Accommodating up to 6 guests, KISMET offers 3 queen cabins, each with a private ensuite, plus full A/C for cool, comfortable nights. A deck shower and onboard misting system add welcome refreshment on warm days, while the easy-flow galley supports seamless all-inclusive service from the chef/hostess. Snorkeling, swimming, water toys, and a fast dinghy for beach runs keep the adventure close at hand. Grace, pace, and space make KISMET a natural fit for exploring the Bahamas.

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.

An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.

The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.

We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).

We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
