About KISMET

Best for: families and friend groups of up to eight, with couples seeking a sociable base a close second.

KISMET is a 2018 Robertson and Caine catamaran based in the British Virgin Islands, crewed by Nicholas and Jade, a captain and chef duo with over 20,000 nautical miles and 60-plus charters between them. The standout here is Jade's galley work: Thai, Western, Indian, and Mexican menus, tailored to your group and presented with genuine care, delivered fresh each day across the BVI's most iconic anchorages.

Four queen cabins, each with an ensuite shower and toilet, mean eight guests sleep well without compromise. Nicholas brings calm, hands-on captaincy and a knack for keeping a programme running smoothly, while Jade manages the interior and table with equal attention. Together they have sharpened their craft across multi-week Maldives programmes, so the rhythm of a crewed charter feels natural rather than formal. KISMET suits groups who want good food, warm service, and a crew that genuinely enjoys being out on the water.

I also wanted to compliment them for your amazing customer service and management.

Last but not least I want to compliment the amazing crew. I run a business with 60 employees and know how hard it is to find good people that work hard and care about what they do. Nick, Jade, and Jontey were amazing and treated us like royalty.

Memories of a lifetime.

Captain Nick is very safety conscious and we felt completely safe with him at the helm. Chef Jade is a fabulous cook. The two complement each other very well – you have a great team onboard. The weather didn't always cooperate but these two made sure we had a great time! We were not expecting such wonderful service - were treat like a king and queen for the week.

feb 2024 Maldive

We had an amazing holiday sailing on shantaram. We loved the snorkeling, fishing, sailing the Blue waters and the delicious food. Nick, Jade and Jonty thank you so much for your amazing effort. You learned us how to freedive and appreciate the ocean and we loved it. We had the best time and we will be back.

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
