About LEXINGTON

Best for: families with young children or teenagers, with groups of friends keen on watersports a close second.

Built by Horizon in 2006 and stretching to just over 85 feet, LEXINGTON carries four guests up to eight across four en-suite staterooms: a master with a king bed and his-and-hers bathrooms, a VIP and starboard guest cabin each with a queen berth, and a port cabin with bunk-style twins. Her extended bridge and sky lounge adds a second social hub complete with a bar, flat-screen TV and day head, while the main salon runs a brand-new sofa, pop-up TV and a formal dining table for all eight. The wrap-around galley feeds into a country-style dinette for casual breakfasts before a big day out.

Captain Bill Wassmer brings decades of bluewater mileage to the helm, having taken LEXINGTON up and down the US East Coast six times and across to the Bahamas repeatedly. First Mate Devon Pickard is a PADI Dive Instructor who has certified over 300 students, making him the ideal guide for any guest new to snorkelling or diving. The toy list backs it all up: a 24-foot Cobia tender, a two-person Sea-Doo jet ski, two kayaks, two SUPs, a Brownie's Hookah Rig for two, fishing gear, towables, a drone and an underwater camera. Beach picnic gear rounds things out for lazy afternoons ashore.

Broker:
Thank you so much for these wonderful photos and video! What a great trip! The crew looks outstanding, clearing going above and beyond. I hope to book them again in the near future. Thanks for sharing this.
Here is the feedback I received:

Client:
We have all returned home safe and sound with memories of our trip of a lifetime.

I want to thank you for all your work on our behalf. You answered all of our questions in a timely fashion and professionally handled every aspect of this trip.

The Lexington was the perfect yacht for us - spacious enough to comfortably move around yet cozy enough for us to be together for cocktails, meals, and relaxing. In addition, the Lexington is beautifully appointed.

Our itinerary was a trip to the Exumas. Every day had the perfect amount of cruising time and play time and, of course, all of this was perfectly executed by the crew. Our captain, Chopi, was skilled way beyond his years and Johan, the first mate, worked with him in complete harmony. Our chef, Ranada, delighted our palates at every meal and Charley, our steward created the most beautiful table settings to complement Ranada’s meal. They all worked so hard every day but they never seemed stressed and they always had a smile to share.

This was absolutely the trip of a lifetime for each one of us. Thank you,

I wanted to share with you our experience. The Lexington was the perfect boat for us- beautifully appointed, seating for all 8 of us for meals together and very comfortable cabins.

But mostly I wanted you to know about the crew: Chopi, Johan, Renada, and Charley. Their professionalism was exceptional, they anticipated our needs and provided each one of us with an unforgettable experience. Chopi handled the Lexington seamlessly and Johan worked with him in complete synchrony. Renada’s meals never ceased to impress and Charley, who never stopped smiling, dazzled us with her table settings and her skilled bed making (I know that is not easy). Every room greeted us every day with a new shine and everyone worked together to make our daily adventures fun.

They never stopped working and they always had each other’s back. They executed your itinerary suggestions to the Exumas so that each day was filled with just the right amount of cruising and playtime. It was sheer perfection.

Thank you for sharing the Lexington and this crew with us.

‘I would like to highly recommend motor yacht LEXINGTON with Captain Bill Wassmer. I have personally inspected LEXINGTON several times, and always found the yacht immaculate and very well maintained. I am always happy to offer the yacht and had a one-week charter on board this summer (2023) in Newport in August with a multi-repeat charter savvy client who was very happy with his charter on board and said that Bill was a very professional Captain. I believe other charter brokers can book without hesitation.’

‘I had a charter on her last summer, it was not your ordinary family vacation charter, this was for the race committee during a regatta with many boats in attendance. Captain Bill and his crew went above and beyond to successfully execute and deliver their every challenging request and requirement. There was a lot of organization involved, race gear onboard, team playing, and complicated scheduling. Bill and his crew were fantastic, the charter very successful!’

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
