About SOUTH

Best for: fitness-focused groups, with active families a close second.

SOUTH is a 54-metre Heesen from 2012, and what sets her apart from most yachts her size is how seriously she takes staying active. Alongside the beach club she carries a full gym: a Technogym station, a Peloton bike, a Precor treadmill, free weights and yoga mats, so a group that trains at home need not stop for a week aboard. That is a rare amount of dedicated fitness space at this length.

With six cabins for twelve guests and a crew of fourteen, she suits an active group that wants the water as busy as the gym. The toys back it up: a 41-foot chase boat for offshore runs, Waverunners, three Seabobs, an E-Foil, wakeboards, water skis and a tall inflatable slide with a long drop into the sea. A crew of fourteen for twelve guests means the watersports, the diving and the galley all run at once. Based in the Bahamas, she is built for warm, clear-water weeks spent in and on the sea.

Guest reviews

“This was our best charter yet. They have a very solid program; you could not go wrong sending clients to this boat. I don’t have anything to complain about even if I really tried. Every person that works on that boat does very well in their roles. They are very very good.”

“Out of all the captains we have had, you can definitely see that Charles has the most experience. He’s picked a really amazing crew. It was a super incredible time.”

Good to know

We want to make sure you are well prepared and informed for your trip. Here are a few things you might want to know before you set off.
An APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) is an amount paid to the yacht before your charter. It's a fund to cover expenses such as food & drink eaten on board, fuel and mooring fees. At the end of your charter, you’ll receive a detailed document showing how the APA was spent, and any remaining balance will be refunded to you. if in doubt about what is included, ask your HELM broker.
The Captain will let you know if you're about to overspend and discuss your next steps, which wil generally be a bank transfer to top up the funds.
We recommend (10-15% for the Med) (15-20% for the Caribbean/Bahamas) of your charter fee, which will be split evenly among the crew (it's a nice touch to bring a blank envelope or a thank you card in advance).
We'll share your Captain's details with you a few weeks before your charter. We can set up a group chat with your group and the captain to discuss plans before you go.
