Dubrovnik and Montenegro 7-Day Itinerary

Arrive in Dubrovnik, renowned for its stunning medieval architecture and picturesque coastlines. Set sail from the ACI marina Dubrovnik, one of the safest marinas which also has the ACI golf range that can be used by guests and visitors. Head south towards Lokrum, a lush, forested island draped in pines, olives, and black ash. There are beautiful botanical gardens filled with giant agaves and Brazilian palms. Unwind by sunbathing on the rocks or cooling off in the clear aquamarine waters.

Heceg Novi is a gorgeous beach town surrounded by mountains, wild olive groves, and pomegranate trees. Walk along the seaside promenade and dive into the stunning beaches (this is a perfect place to snorkel). Spend the afternoon exploring Forte Mare, a fortress built in 1382 by the Bosnian King Tvrtko. Take a kayak adventure over to the village of Rose or stay put and explore the architectural highlights of the Old Town including the Savina Monastery, the crumbled Clock Tower from the 17th century, and the Archangel Michael's Church. At Portonovi Marina, you’ll need to ensure that that you get a cruising permit (vignette) and pay the tourist tax (this varies based on the intended amount of days within Montenegro). We recommend hiring an agent prior to departure to assist with clearance so you can focus on relaxing instead.

Set sail towards the Bay of Kotor, a medieval old town designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its unique natural beauty and well-preserved architecture. Stroll through the maze of winding cobblestone streets, enjoying Romanesque architecture, medieval churches and quaint orange roofed houses whilst soaking in the views of the stunning surrounding mountains. You can make a stop at the renowned Our Lady of the Rocks, an artificial island created by bulwark of rocks and sunken ships (an excellent place to snorkel).
Explore St. Tryphon's Cathedral, a stunning romanesque Catholic church built in 1166.
For the adventurous, hike up the 1300 steps to the St John Fortress overlooking the city.

If you are a seafood lover and looking to enjoy a taste of the locally sourced cuisine, the Oyster Farm in Montenegro is a unique must-see destination. Whether you want to savour the tantalizing oysters plucked right from the bay at a traditional restaurant, or simply take pleasure in the peace and tranquillity of the coastal scenery, this picturesque spot has something for everyone. Set sail towards Portonovi, an exclusive yachting destination that offers a stunning combination of crystal-clear waters, sunny skies, and an incredible coastline. You can indulge in luxurious seaside relaxation at pristine beaches and high-end resorts or explore a range of water sports and marina activities. Immerse yourself within the vibrant local culture with gourmet dining options and high-end shopping experiences.

Sveti Stefan is a fortified island village filled with 15th-century stone villas overlooking perfect beaches and enticing turquoise waters. This is a great place to drop anchor and dive into the sea or soak up the sun. There are stunning views from the beaches, and you can see the iconic five-star hotel on an island that is only accessible by a walkway. Set sail for Budva, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic Coast and the centre of tourism in Montenegro. Budva is famous for its stunning beaches, with the coastline scattered with sandy and pebble beach’s leading into clear turquoise waters. Wander Budva's Old Town (Stari Grad), getting lost in the narrow winding streets filled with historic buildings, churches, and charming squares. Scuba diving in this area is very popular due to the diverse marine life and clear waters in the Adriatic Sea.

Cavtat is a striking woody peninsula nestled in between two bays that has long called artists and creatives to its watercolour shores. It is home to 15th-century monasteries and has a bohemian feel with the red sun-baked rooftops throughout the town. From summer carnivals and local dances to fresh fish dishes and handcrafted jewellery, the attractive waterfront town is a more peaceful alternative to the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik.

It is the final day of sailing; we suggest relaxing on the charter and enjoying one last snorkel or having some fun on the water toys before sailing back to Dubrovnik. Once in Dubrovnik you can explore the cities baroque beauty, UNESCO delights, and stroll along the limestone pavements.
See the 16th-century paintings from Raphael in the cathedral.
