7 Day Itinerary
Once you embark on your yacht, set sail to the gorgeous Norman Island. Legend has it that treasure is buried here and was perhaps the island behind Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. Snorkel or dive at the Caves near Treasure Point, famous for underwater exploration amidst intriguing rock formations and marine life. Bight is one of the most scenic harbours, and a destination where you can venture on some fantastic hiking trails. Norman Island is home to the wonderful Pirates Bight oceanfront, a pavilion-style beach club and restaurant, not to mention the infamous Willy-T's Floating Boat bar!
Cooper Island provides various activities for visitors, including snorkeling, diving, hiking, and beachcombing. The island is situated next to shipwreck alley which is a haven for divers as wrecks have deliberately been sunk for exploring. Nearby attractions include the Wreck of the RMS Rhone, a famous dive and snorkel site off the coast of Salt Island, which is within reach for those staying or visiting Cooper Island. Cooper Island also features Cooper Island Beach Club and a famous rum bar (with a 1000 types of rum!) for rocking up in the twinkling evenings, and everything you need to make it a magical mooring! Top Tip: You might also want to stop by The Indians for some of the best snorkeling in the BVI's on your way to Cooper island. Dead Chest Island hosts some of the marine life, perfect for a late-morning breakfast anchor!
Set sail to the Baths for snorkeling and exploring on your way to Virgin Gorda! The Baths have an exciting trail that winds through boulders. The trail leads to secluded beaches, tidal pools, and viewpoints overlooking the breathtaking scenery of the Caribbean Sea. The Baths on Virgin Gorda offer a unique and other-worldly experience with its stunning geological formations, making it a must-visit attraction for travellers exploring the BVI's. As you travel further on to your next stop, settle in Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour for the night. This is the quintessential Caribbean destination, with natural beauty, national parks, unspoiled beaches, safe anchorages & quiet coves for you to explore. In the evening take a short taxi and enjoy a lively dinner in the Rock Café (live music most nights) or Coco Maya.
Leverick Bay is a picturesque area situated on the northern side of Virgin Gorda. The bay is a haven for watersports including snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Visitors can rent equipment or join tours to explore the surrounding waters and nearby attractions. Leverick Bay is relatively close to other attractions on Virgin Gorda, such as Gorda Peak National Park, making it a convenient base for exploring the island. There are several restaurants and bars in the area, providing visitors with a range of dining options. One notable establishment is the Leverick Bay Resort and Marina, which houses a restaurant serving local and international cuisine and often hosts live music events.
Cane Garden has one of the most beautiful anchorages in the BVI and is home to Tortola's most beautiful beaches. Hike up Sage Mountain and explore the magnificent rainforest, or if you prefer just relaxing then this horseshoe shaped bay is the perfect spot off which to anchor and dip into the sparkling waters. Laze on the soft white sands and enjoy the casual atmosphere of the beach bars for an amazing sunset.
Finish up your trip in one of the BVI's most stunning islands. Anchor near Foxy's to be perfectly placed to enjoy her shores. Head to the Soggy Dollar Bart after enjoying the bubbly pools and stretches of white sandy beaches on the South of the island.
Sail back to Tortola on the penultimate day of your trip, without forgetting to stop by Soper's Hole on your sail back for an idyllic snorkel and swim in one of it's gorgeous bays!
