The Danish boat builders X-Yachts have carved out something of a reputation in recent years for exceptional blue water performance cruisers, and so it is surely a natural step to take to enter the charter market, with a selection of remarkable mid-sized monohulls.

In Lavrion's stunning Olympic marina, there is an incredible high performance fleet of X-Yachts, designed for the charter market.

These X-Yachts really plug the gap in the market for experienced sailors looking for a better quality of bareboat yacht – one that is as comfortable as it is quick, that handles equally well in a blow and the calm, and is as at home in a regatta or a quiet swimming anchorage.

The X Experience

Based out of Lavrion, near Athens and giving easy access to the gorgeous Cyclades, the new charter company stays true to the X-Yachts principles of delivering pure enjoyment under sail.

Their range of yachts covers the full X, Xp and Xc spectrum, with 5 X46s, a pair of Xp44s, and an Xc45.

The range all feature X Yachts’ trademark vacuum-infused hulls, teak decks, steel keel frames and clever weight distribution, and are equipped with Tempur mattresses for added comfort.

See below for further details on each yacht.

X-46

The versatile X-46 was a nominee for European Yacht of the Year 2019, and the attention to detail is clear throughout.

The high aspect rig delivers great power, and yet the helm is incredibly balanced at all points of sail.

She’s equipped with a 106% overlapping genoa, staysail, and asymmetrical spinnaker, for smile-inducing performance in all directions.

The 3-cabin, 2 heads layout makes very comfortable living for groups of 6.

XP-44

The performance-orientated Xp44 features a carbon mast and wheel, rod rigging and a powerful sailplan, but does not compromise on comfort.

Crew looking to eke optimal performance out can even opt for a Code 0, making light wind reaching a breeze.

It’s little wonder Toby Hodges called the XP44 ‘a dream to helm’ in his review for Yachting World.

XC-45

Imbued with excellence in its DNA and designed with comfort in mind, the XC-45 prioritises the better parts of the cruising lifestyle.

This bluewater champion eats up the miles in absolute comfort and style. She is both agile and stable, thanks to a low centre of gravity and deep keel.

The well-protected cockpit and deep draught make her seaworthy enough to feel relaxed and comfortable, even in a blustery Cyclades meltemi.

The Devil's in the Detail

Every detail on each of the new X-Yachts is incredibly well-thought-out, resulting in well-mannered boats that make life aboard totally seamless.

The X range is available for bareboat and skippered charters, races and regattas across the Northern Aegean.

X-Yachting provide 24/7 support during your charter, including a high-speed emergency RIB which can get to you and fix any issues and keep your charter experience smooth and seamless.

Where else can I sail an X-Yacht?

Greece isn't the only place you can charter a hi-spec X-Yacht, though.

If you’d rather sail in Croatia, there is also a fleet of four identical X43s, sailing out of Marina Nava, Split.
