Not sure where or when to go? Ask your broker, and they will suggest the best time to sail in any of the world’s best destinations, whether you’re looking to avoid the crowds, soak up some culture with your late season sun, or just relax at anchor and dive into warm water.
We make regular trips out to the sailing areas and destinations to meet providers, and inspect their fleet first-hand, so we know everything there is to know about every yacht we offer you.
There are more than 4,000 yachts available to charter in Croatia, but we only work with the very best 5%.
Helm was co-founded by Simon Morgan and Peter Harrison (more on them below).
For us, the freedom of a sailing holiday is incomparable. Cruising through azure waters, catching fish from the deck, dropping anchor and swimming in a secluded cove – these are experiences that can’t be found elsewhere.
Having worked in the charter industry for many years – first as skippers and then as brokers – we felt people deserved the chance to enjoy fully tailored yachting holidays with complete clarity about cost.
Helm is our way of sharing our love of yachting: by helping people have sailing experiences they’ll never forgot.
"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbour. Catch the wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." — H Jackson Brown Jr

Meet the HELM Crew
Peter started sailing from a young age in Bexhill On-Sea, Sussex. He soon took to racing dinghies, competing at National and International level, before moving onto yacht racing.
After studying at University, he moved up to London to start his career as a Yacht Charter Broker, immediately falling in love with the whole industry. "Getting to talk about yachts and holidays all day long, it's a dream job!"
In 2015, Peter and Simon decided to venture on their own. They founded HELM with the vision of creating a company known for quality yachts, excellent service, and absolute clarity on pricing.
Peter has over 10 years experience as a broker, and knows the yacht charter market inside out, from bareboats to gulets to superyachts, in destinations as diverse as Croatia and the Seychelles.

Simon learnt to sail watching his Uncle Alan navigate the wild waters of Tasmania. He then went on to travel the world competing on the Olympic Laser Class circuit.
While working as a Captain in the idyllic Whitsunday Islands, Simon met a girl and followed her back to London, where his passion for sailing landed him a job as a yacht charter broker. He met Peter and the rest is history!
With over 16 years marine industry experience, Simon runs the show behind the scenes, using his unrivalled knowledge of charter industry operations and strategy to drive HELM to bigger and better things.

James has spent the best part of 30 years on, in, around and occasionally under boats, first sailing on his grandfather's yacht when he was just 13 weeks old. He grew up racing dinghies, graduating to sportsboats and then bigger yachts.
It was on a summer spent working as a dinghy instructor near Datça, Turkey, that James realised he wanted to spend his life doing what he loved, and it wasn't long before he joined one of the world's largest charter companies, rising to become UK Marketing Manager, before joining Helm on our exciting journey.
James is a dedicated yacht racer and veteran of 16 Cowes Weeks, with 4 overall class wins to his name. He wears many hats, also acting as our specialist Clubs and Groups broker.

Libby has salt water in her veins, and spent her childhood mucking about on boats in Poole. She worked in a chandlery from 15, before completing her sea survival courses and joining a 35m superyacht as sole deckhand and chase boat skipper, travelling the Amalfi Coast and touring the Balearics.
She then completed her Yachtmaster Offshore and joined a 65m charter yacht, exploring the South of France and the Caribbean, before life caught up with her and she left to settle in the UK, joining HELM as a yacht charter broker.

John was born into the marine industry - his grandfather developed many of the marinas across the south coast, including Portland Marina and Ocean Village, so boating is in John's blood. John spent all of his teenage summers working in marinas and boat yards, including one delicious summer on an Ice Cream boat.
After completing his A-levels he went straight to train at UKSA on the Isle of Wight, then got a job on an exploration yacht cruising Scandinavia. During university summers he set off again to work on superyachts, doing a Mediterranean season as a night watchman for a high-profile Saudi family, before graduating from education and deck work to join the HELM team.
Outside the office you will find John at a secluded London pub with his friends, or following his beloved AFC Bournemouth through the highs and lows of a season.
Specialist areas: Scandinavia, Ionian, Croatia, Sardinia
George has been around boats from a young age, exploring the south coast of the UK and the Maltese Islands, where his family live half the year. After 2 years as a ski instructor, George realised his passion for yachting and took to the water. He started as a green deckhand aboard an 85m charter yacht and spent 2 years with them exploring the Mediterranean and Middle East and learning what it takes to make create a great charter.
George then joined a 110m motor yacht as lead deckhand and did 3 Atlantic crossings in just under a year. On his return to dry land, George has now settled as a charter broker at HELM.
George has excellent Mediterranean knowledge, and will be able to recommend the best anchorages and restaurants. In his free time, George enjoys road cycling and is often found at car meets.
Specialist areas: Sardinia, South of France, Amalfi Coast, Malta

Elsa has a background in hospitality, allowing her to travel extensively and learn a few different languages. She has been working full time in the yachting industry since 2015, eventually settling in London as a key member of HELM's charter brokerage team.
Fluent in French and English, Elsa also speaks basic German and Italian - she is the office linguist!

Born into a sailing family, Aimee grew up on the South Coast. Her passion for sailing began crewing for her father in a Mirror dinghy, he would always take along a packet of Starbursts as a bribe to keep her smiling!
Aimee continued sailing in dinghies Toppers, Lasers, 29ers and RS200, spending her teenage years in the RYA squad competing in European events.
She had not planned on a career in the marine industry but whilst studying Graphic Design and Art at A-Level, she went to work at the Southampton Boat Show for a marine insurance company for 2 weeks. She enjoyed it so much that 2 weeks turned into 4 years as a marine insurance underwriter, listening to clients and discussing their yachts and yachting adventures. After getting a taste for chartering in the Caribbean on her time off, Aimee decided it was time to move onto what she loves the most, talking about yachting holidays all day, every day!
Specialist areas: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Mykonos, UK, Croatia, Amalfi Coast
Toby joined the HELM team in the early parts of 2022. While he was a qualified Civil Engineer working on highway infrastructure project in London for five years, he spent his holiday learning to sail and getting on the water whenever he could. This culminated in him quitting his career to become part of a professional crew on a SuperYacht; a 295ft tri-masted schooner that sailed globally, crossing several oceans. After an invaluable time at sea leading a deck team, his time ashore was calling.
He now employs his destination experience and charter market knowledge to perfectly match clients with the exact yacht that delivers a holiday of a lifetime.
Specialist areas: Amalfi, Croatia, Greece, Caribbean
Charter Operations Manager
Born & raised in the United States, Victoria spent most of her adulthood developing a passion for travel. She has been to thirty-three counties and counting. She prefers the thrill of solo travel, as it challenges her to make connections outside of social biases that later turn into lifelong connections.
Though Victoria didn't grow up in the marine world, her degree in communications & business management from Arizona State University has fuelled her excitement to work in tourism, a field she very much enjoys. Victoria moved to London in February 2022 where she became employed at HELM as the Charter Operations Manager.
Due to her exceptional attention to detail and knowledge of travel, her experience at HELM has prompted her to go above and beyond to provide the best service to her clients.
