The Dodecanese offer a chance to explore authentic and unspoiled Greece. Comprised of twelve large and numerous smaller islands all steeped in history, this is Greece at its most fascinating and beautiful.
Rich in culture and history and right in the heart of Rhodes town, Mandraki is a really great base for Dodecanese trips.
Legend has it that the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the ancient wonders of the world, once stood astride the entrance to the harbour. There is an old fort and 3 traditional windmills on the eastern seawall.
Full of history and culture, Rhodes is a large town with a well equipped marina and ancient ruins and artefacts dotted around the old town. The Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights is well worth a visit.
