Lead Crew Yacht Support
The lead crew is there to support you. They'll help you cast off each day before heading to that evening's stopover to help you moor when you arrive. You can be as independent as you like with the confidence that the lead crew will be there to lend a helping hand when you need it. They can also recommend the best anchorages, harbours, restaurants and places to visit, ensuring that you make the most of your time on holiday.
Your flotilla skipper is fully RYA qualified and is responsible for the flotilla. They will be on hand at the beginning and end of every day if you need assistance with mooring or casting off. They also hold daily chart briefings to help you make the most of your trip.
Your flotilla host will know the best beaches, restaurants and local attractions. They’ll find the perfect place for dinner every evening for you and your flotilla, so you can enjoy delicious local cuisine while sharing tales of the sea with your new friends.
Your technician will be on hand to make sure that each yacht in the flotilla is running smoothly. Should you have any technical questions, just let your technician know and they’ll be there to help.
Get to know your boat and your new flotilla companions at our base at marina Agana, a charming coastal Marina village of ramshackle Mediterranean houses and quaint waterside restaurants. The port’s convenient location gives you the chance to visit the historic harbour town of Trogir (just 15 minutes by taxi) and the ruins of Emperor Diocletian’s Palace at Split (40 minutes) before you depart.
You and your flotilla companions are heading for Brač, where you’ll find the village of Bobovišće. Here candyfloss-coloured brick buildings are scattered charmingly along a peaceful harbour. Moor in the shallow harbour for an overnight stay and head onshore to explore this tranquil town.
Leave Bobovišće and sail south, manoeuvring between the islands of Šolta and Brač and heading southeast until you reach the island of Hvar. Cruise along Hvar’s beautiful coastline studded with rolling hills and lush forests until you reach Jelsa, nestled between mountains and tucked in a lovely bay. Fall in love with Jelsa’s old world charm and explore the picturesque waterfront. Jelsa is known for its food, so find a konoba (restaurant) and sample the delicious fresh seafood and local Hvar wines.
By now you’ll have brushed up on your sailing skills and feel confident enough to head out into the Adriatic on your own or in small groups. The free sailing day is your chance to explore and see any sights you were longing to visit that aren’t on the flotilla itinerary. Set sail from Jelsa and head for the natural harbour of Palmižana for a different taste of island life, or take in a day trip to the a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stari Grad instead. If you want to sail further afield, then the westerly island of Vis is a great place to overnight and a chance to rack up a few blue water miles along the way.
Reunite with your flotilla companions in the sheltered coastal town of Milna. Milna’s network of ancient streets hides a number of excellent shops and restaurants, sure to keep your attention until it’s time to move on. Swimming in the bay near the quiet Marina Vlaska is a refreshing way to spend a hot Croatian afternoon.
Just east of Brač is the island of Šolta. Head for the very western tip to the green oasis of Šešula. This small and quiet village is ideal for spending a relaxing day swimming or snorkelling in the turquoise waters. Grab a mooring buoy in front of a restaurant in Šešula’s bay and head ashore to dine at a local konoba (restaurant).
Sail into the Adriatic once more, putting the island of Šolta behind you as you return to marina Agana. Hurry back and take the time to explore Split further, chilling out on the popular promenade or searching the local markets for a few Croatian keepsakes. Make the most of your final day in the Hvar flotilla and soak up as much of the atmosphere as you can.
